“Do-tougeikan” is a pottery school and a ceramic studio.

The studio is at Yugawara in Kanagawa Prefecture.
It is near Hakone and Atami. And it is famous for the Hot Spring and the Tourist Resort. It takes about 2 hours from Tokyo by train or car.

Hand building by coils of clay, then paint on your work. You can make anything you want. (Pots, cups, plates, vase, and so on) Our staff will help and give you hints and advices to make what you want to express.
Later, we fire your works in the kiln, then, after about two months, we send them to you.

Using the blue color called “Gosu” in Japanese. The color had been used from Edo period (about 400 years ago). You can paint pictures, patterns, letters, characters, and shade. After about a month, we send your works.

The plate is our original hand-made. You can paint on it with a piece of gold leaf. Then, after that you can take it immediately.
